Re: SBS Poll
Voted no, like SAS and BRF, it should be open for anybody who is up to the standard. Why be shouldnt your be accepted because of cap badge / force. Way i see it, if you can do a job it should be done, only way you shouldnt be allowed to do it is if you cant do it! Thats just my opinion though :popco...

Re: Para Wings and Red Berets
MAROON beret!!!!! Quite correct Eddie, but the beret is as you know, widely called "The Red Beret" and the Regiment "The Red Devils", a respectful name given to the para`s in WW2 by our dear friends - the German`s - "Die Roten Teufel" not the "Maroon Devils"....

I got a run time on 9.21 so much improved on my pre-adsc run, and means i was in the run time for my 2nd job choice t...

Re: Seriously contemplating career in the military
Have you thought about the possibility of a 6-7 month tour of duty in a place like afghanistan, that you may go on 6months after you finish your officer training? And in them 6months between training and going on tour, the 4months pre deployment training wher you will be away from home for a number ...

Re: EOD help
Hi, im not 100% certain, but i think to join EOD, yes you do have to go Royal Engineers, but you will have to join as an ammunition technician. If you are good enough they might assign you to an EOD unit but you wont be disarming bombs, and IED's. For that you will need to be an ATO (an officer trai...
