They told me that my May intake was full, yet here I am at ...

That reminds me of one of the more tedious aspects of sandhurst - they make us memorise the locations and names of all statues and features, including when they were brought to sandhurst :( .

There's quite an amazing list of bods who have been here, like Churchill and the Sultan of Oman. Plus ...

I'm looking at Regiments in the Gunners and Scaley's. Keeping my options open till i've met the people there.

Most of the bods at sandhurst are posh. double-barrel surnames and very well spoken. they're mostly polite, but a few of them are spoiled. I get some very strange looks when I walk into a ...

Don't do it

I'm in my first term at Sandhurst. It can get a bit emotional at times, both physically and mentally. It is not the easy ride that most people think.

I would not worry about employement references too much. they only get considered, and dont carry much weight. The RCB is far more interested in ...

Happy to help
I am down at ssndhurst, and did my RCB in January.

I know they tell you to be prepared, but really - be prepared. It is going to be a very stressfull few days, have no doubt. It is perfectly do-able providing you set yourself up for a lot of stress and confusion.

You will doubt ...

To summarise, unless an officer has come up through the ranks your average, bootie, pongo or matelot has very little in common with the officers that command them and friendship is not sought on either side.

Not always true. I am in officer training, now, and have bugger all in common with most ...
