If you get a barb test of 60 or more then you won't have a problem. As for the run, recruits to the infantry (not incuding paras) need to be running a mile and a half under 13 minutes and other trades under 14minutes. Although a male under 29 eventually will need to do the run under 10.30 min so ...

As far as I can make out from the joining instructions all we do is have a guided tour and demos, a fitness test then the interviews.

I applied to join RAVC as dog handler over a year ago. After your ADSC (mine was last July) you have to attend a two day interview with the RAVC at Melton Mowbray. The RAVC are running these interviews next month. I would've thought that they'd all be full.
