Interestingly, Capt. Milne was previously Sgt. Milne - as seen on 'The Real Heroes of Telemark' with Ray Mears a few years back.

Apologies...Just to clarify, I wasnt advising mega runs with kit on your back or anything like that.
However using a weight belt isnt uncommon when doing pull ups or dips etc in a gym - but is only something to consider when you are capable of training at that level.

Yeah, I agree with Sonne...

If you cant do any pull ups do negative ones (jump up and lower yourself down under control)

When you can do a couple just keep knocking out the odd set throughout your day.

When you can comfortably do sets of six plus after a workout/run...you can start getting fancy ...

I can safely say I did always fear getting wet and thus cold and thus very upset. Saying that I think thats the same for any nod...

'wrap juice' and 'paper mache marine' spring to mind.

My advice, is experience all the joys of training, like everyone else...when you get there.

3. I think you'll find its impossible ...

Fevernova, can you not ease up on the questions a little bit - try to contain yourself or something.

I know everyone says use the search button but you REALLY would benefit from it.

Youve asked more questions in the space of 24hrs than i have in nearly a year!

Mate, you might want to delay that test until you can crack it with serious ease.

The PJFT is the absolute bare minimum recquired, its VERY easy compared to anything else you'll have to undertake in future.

If youre injured and cant run, go swimming and anything else for CV...if not, dedicate your ...

P.S. - Dont count on your bleep test being splint into two groups, we were lucky on ours to have that - more often than not they'll whack you all on one mass bleep test, less rest, more cramped. Whichever it is theres still plenty of rest before your press ups etc and the bleep test is the warm up ...

Yeah get fit if only for a faster recovery rate. Nothing more satisfying than watching others cry and moan as you seem to get stronger (when marking time for example), knowing you can give all you've got over and over.
