With regard to the proper routing, could anyone confirm whether you take the path over the top of the Cribyn each way or whether you take the path that contours around to the south of it (the one that breaks off once you've come down Jacob's Ladder).

Cheers.

Still no reason not to apply for Pilot either, if that's still what you want.

Home Gym Equipment

Right, my wife's keen to incorporate some phys into her life while she works away from me during the week - seems Leroy isn't tiring her out enough.

Anyway, she's rubbish at getting to the gym and due to the ridiculously long hours she works, it's plain impractical so I thought it'd be a good idea ...

You seem to be talking yourself down a bit here. You hold the minimum requirements to apply for a commission in the RAF and therefore have what is required to go to OASC (Officer and Aircrew Selection).

OASC is where you can make your mark and try and impress the recruiters. Yes, you need the ...

Pre-para running

Hello all,

Apologies for posting this in the Para Reg area but I figure you guys will probably be the best placed to help me out.

I am hopefully attending pre-para sometime later in the year and am in the process of working on my fitness. Over the past 5 months i've managed to get from 3 mile runs ...

Sundaynights,

It sounds like you're pretty much on the right track. Having been in for 7 years now, I let my fitness drop massively after initial training and only late last year decided to sort it out.

Three runs a week (aim for 30-40mins), with a rest day in between should be a good start. Run ...

Turbo Trainers

No, not a new go-faster pair of running shoes but the cycling variety. Anyone on here use them at all and could recommend a certain type?

Also, my bike is a mountain bike so I'm assuming all i'd need to do would be to buy a slick rear wheel to make it compatible with one of these...

Any thoughts ...

MattyB,

After a period of service (I think it's 3 years), any trade from any of the services can apply to attend selection for 22 SAS. You will not become an SF armourer; you will join a Squadron as a Trooper as would anyone applying. REME will remain your parent unit and you will return to this at ...

The issue here is defining 'comfort zone' - to some that means just out of breath, to others it means throwing up with literally nothing left to give.

As per the gov, I too am no expert but I have been taught/witnessed the following; ANY form of exercise will benefit the body - be it in or out of ...
