The only time I can think of when something happened like this was in 1984/5, I was on the training team of 500 or 509 troop one or the other.The troop and two NCO's went up to Offa's Dyke north Wales on a Home Guard Ex organized by the MOD. There are SA80's you can fire left handed but not right handed thay are made for left handed people, I fired one at Warminster Small Arms School

Oh how simple are the young. The L42 is all but the same weapon This has a free flooting barrel unlike the Mk4 above , we used this bad boy untill well into the 1980's. the weapon above I believe is a Enfield 303 with Telescopic sights fitted there was not a great deal of difference ...

In 1977 myself and about 20 others were sent from 41 CDO Deal out to 41 Cdo Salerno Company Group, 41 Cdo were on there way to Belfast and the 20 or so of us were all under 18, never mind Turf Lodge or Paceville, I'd sooner have Chisk and Hopleaf before baton rounds and verbal s##t. Happy days :lol:
