Downed chopper

Just heard confirmed report of a chopper going down in Kuwait. There were Royal Marines on board. My deepest sympathies to relatives and friends of those who lost their lives. This is awful.

military definitions

Would somebody kindly provide the meanings of battalion, brigade, squadron, wing, company, division, corp etc etc.
I would like to know the numbers involved in each category.

Or a link to a site containing these definitions would be equally appreciated.
Thanks

SIS,
recommend you read 'Peacemakers' by Macmillan. Talks about some of the things u mentioned, and then some. Enlightening but also extremely disheartening as history often repeats itself.

I do not wish to sound patronising, but we had a hand to play in the mess that is the middle east, so i think we do have a responsibility.

My mistake about the British matter - apologies.

On the main point, we just have to disagree on principle. In matters of law, I believe everybody is innocent until proven guilty. As such, I do not agree with punishing somebody just because there is suspicion of guilt.

And A merry Christmas to all

Crossed wires

Gaining legal aid does not depend on what the ALLEGED crime happens to be. It depends on your income not what you are suspected of doing or your ethnic orientation.

Cops get it wrong and how many of us are historically celtic (which were the original people who resided in Briton)? We're either ...
