i'm applying for royal engineers and in the interview stage now before adsc.
my recruiter told me the engineers dont take in now untill april 2010 i was wondering if that could change at any time before april, if not i would still like to join soon as poss and there are a few jobs available over ...

wanted to ask about the 1.5 mile run that has to be done in under 9.40.
whats the run like is it flat or with hills,also what kit do you wear running shoes or boots.
could ppl also post there times.


the one i did today was horrible it was slope down hill then up bricky stones up hill i failed ...

i got my icebreaker to do and i want to go into infantry rifles could anyone help me as what there main job is and etc cheers just need knolegde of what they do

medical = cleared 21st june 09
1st interview = passed 30th june 09
2nd interview = passed 30th june 09
pre - ADSC = 17th july ...

Before transfering, ask yourself why you want to transfer?

If its for the green stuff then why not do your Commando course or P Company???

If its because you think the grass is greener Trust me it aint!!!

hope i dont have same problem i had astma as a child but discharged over 10 years ago i go glencorse in 6 weeks

how do you transfer from RLC to infantry?

i got pre adsc on the 17th july 14 days and my run time is pretty bad its like around 13 min im hoping to get 30 sec better in the next 2 weeks but shoulod be able too if im running ith other people you give up more when running on your own
