The time has came to say thanks to all that has posted on here that has been very helpful in my joining of the army.
I go to ITC Catterick tomorrow (sunday) to start my new life training to be an infantry soldier in The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

I've just have a phone call from my recruiter this morning and my intake date has been brought forword to the 6th september.

Im going on the 20th september.

lichfield, i start training 20th september (catterick)

to join AAC you have to have PERFECT eye sight, it was my 2nd job choise and i passed adsc yesterday (got my first job choise) but got told i cant do AAC because my eye sight was not perfect.

Is anyone going to ADSC Lichfield on the 14th-15th july.

Is anyone going to pre-selection at bramcote barracks on the 21-05-09.

i was told you have to score 60 to be given any job choise.

BARB test is easy i done mine today and got a good score, fingers crossed my doctor hurries with my med forms.

ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT INFANTRY

when you join the infantry how much opertunity is there to specialise in different jobs?

(Driver, Communications, IT Specialist, Sniper, Mortarman, Physical Training Instructor, Storeman, Anti-Tank Missile Crewman, Reconnaissance Soldier, Paratrooper, Combat Medic ...

im gutted because im gotting sky fitted on friday and thats RKRtA finished so iv told the family im not getting it anymore.lol
