hello mate, first off they cant sack you without proper cause. And from what i see you havent done anything wrong, youve not even signed anything saying youve accepted a job in the army. I suggest you read through your contract with them, see what you can find. Or go to the union if you have one ...

No my fitness is fine, done the run in 9.43, which was better than almost everyone else at my selection (apart from the odd para)

Just wanted to train to the max, so i can make basic as easy as possible, apparntly its better than just going to the gym, because there ex forces, so they know the ...

Quick run through of whats to come on monday.

* Get picked up from train station (make sure its lichfield trent valley, not lichfield city!) then you arrive at the barracks, and everyone gets a bib with there number on it which is your new name. Then a quick drill on formation & marching.

Thought adsc was fairly straight foward to be honest, although im sure basic is going to be a differant league. One of the guys there ran the 1.5m in 7.50, but got defferd because of the team tasks!

passed through selection, going catterick 22nd feb.

After ive done the rifles, marines, paras, foriegn legion, and sas, im off on a covert mission to find bin laden, anyone else wanna join me? ill split the reward money 50/50. Keep it secret though

just got back from adsc lichfield yesterday mate, and most people there were mid twentys, even someone 28!

There's nothing to be worried about though, its not as hard to pass as they make out, as long as your not a complete mong. The corprols are top blokes as well.

Passed the adsc yesterday, was quite an intersting 2 days, glad i dont have to go back there though

Ive got a pretty good idea on what to expect at the ADSC now, the only thing which is a bit of a grey area is the team tasks. Can anyone go into a little detail as to what happens here, any tips? As these seem a quite important aspect of the course.

Good question.

Ive looked at many infantry roles, and also the RM, but so far the rifles looks the most appealing (coming from the southwest and all).
But i also realise that although the rifles is a very tough part of the infantry, it is not the hardcore or "elite" compared to say the paras or ...
