Jo- anne,
apologies for missing your name out, meant to end by saying that my wife had been in the same situation as you and not me.

cheers

What is an ordinary day like?[/quote]

Perhaps it would be easier to answer the technical question as to how long a piece of string is.

How does one define ordinary, as no two days are alike, one day it can rain, next day it may snow.

This is a rather ambiguous question.

Sundays off I think...

Unless you`re away on exercise

You also only do 9 till 5, go to the mess have your supper then watch telly for the night.
9 o'clock, the duty Sargeant makes a nice big pot of cocoa for everyone to share, then tucks you in at ten o'clock

God, how I miss my cocoa ...

If you really must invest in a machine then I would recomend a "Concept !!" rowing machine, costly though plus £1000.
This works complete body .
Regardless what you will probably not be cheap, so why waste money on kit unless you reckon you are going to be coming home a lot to use it.
Probably be ...

So you have a history of the armed forces, does that mean that the Royal Marines was not your first choice when joining , if you have done so before?

Patience is a virtue!!

Not to sure if this is some one taking the P!!!!
Are you sure you relly want to join as the majority of lads who are deadly serious about joining would have have looked into dates by now. Mere suggestion of "Enquirory form" makes it sound a bit of a soft effort, had you been watching Marines on the ...

Glad to hear that Greyman (Colours) is on the right path to getting himself sorted out.
I totally think that this sort of forum is what is needed, I was disapointed when I looked at the thread PTSD and saw that the posting from Greyman was not there, glad to see that it reappears here. Itmay seem ...

Find the whole set up a farce as one recruit tells the Corporal.
Surely it is not to much to ask them to try for 30 days, not exactly a long time. I think I am beginning to turn into an old man" When I was a lad, we had no telly, and live on bread and tripe"
The wife found it hilarious when they ate ...

GreyMan, I would say that it is justifiable to think the way that you do. it is unfortunate that the people you saw obviously did not have a clue on how to handle a case such as yourself. Talk about passing the book. I only hope that some day if ever they need help, they see some-one with the same ...

Just like The Grey Man

I am a regular reader of these posts though never had the bottle to write like " The Greyman". I was nearly suicide No 266, came out in 83 nothing seemed to go right. Got married in 85 this lasted 9 months divorce down to unreasonable behaviour always drunk, solving disputes with fists etc.
87 ...

Will be interesting if we openly catch "Bin-Laden " before the Americans.
No doubt he will receive the death penalty in America if they capture him first.
