If you get a sitch (depending on the location) breath in slightly, so that you're lungs are expanded but youre still able to breath, then press with two fingers (strait) abouve the area of pain when you do this Exhale a large amount of air slowly, thisi s so you don't ruin you're pace.

Stitches can be many of things, mainly muscles cramping due to a lack of salt in the diet, try not to run after eating, leave it an hour or so, eat somthing with a lil bit of salt in it, smoking yea it doesn't help not an issue tho, i know paras who smoke alot but can still perform.

Why does everyone want to be a Sniper?
90% of Infantry applicants I've met either want to be a Sniper, in Recce or in Special Forces. It's always good to have goals but why can't people just focus on getting to Battalion first, all the infomation will be there when it's needed.

Paramarine, I dont think you quite understand what im saying.
I completly understand what you saying about how the body works and V02 max and all that stuff, including fast and slow twitch muscles etc etc.
What i was trying to say was, it dont matter how fit the body is the mental fitness can go ...

You couldnt be more further from the truth when you say that as I am always striving too improve everything i do. I am a 100% believer in the saying monkey see monkey do as i wouldnt tell or get a recruit too do something i couldnt do or ...

ill say he will be slightly quicker than that.
2 reasons.
firstly cause he done two laps of paras 10...... which requires awesome fitness.
second, just so he can prove you wrong.

Ok Sandy will you please tell me at what point in my post have i said ill train someone for P Coy.....Exactly nowhere!!!!

Iv said before there is a massive difference between 'Athletic' Fitness and 'Battle' Fitness...Its your job on the P Coy side of things to get the required recruit to a stardard ...

And Cheers Phoenix for been with me on this 1! Yes your absolutly correct...bout 40-60% of all fitness instructors dont keep themselves fit simply cos they dont have time due to clients! Sometimes im working from 6am till 10pm.... (Sandy also those who cant teach)

I am guessing that is mainly aimed at me, so heres something too think about he is saying he can get anybody fit enough too pass something he failed. Would you take driving lessons off someone who had never passed a driving test ??

And yes i have helped quite a few off here with tips for passing ...

yes please mate if youve got any advice as im halfway through the application process at the moment and currently running my 1.5 miler in 9.35 and would like some advice to get it down as much as i can so any gd advice is very welcome
