Car at Dartmouth?

Is it worth having a car at Dartmouth? I live in Scotland and was considering driving there, as opposed to flying with all my stuff. I will be starting at BRNC in September so any inside info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Polish

Use KIWI Parade Gloss as apposed to the standard stuff and just some yellow duster. Putting on brown under black can work but it isnt really worth the fuss. If you are crap at it, find a mate that can sort your shoes and you iron his kit in return. Teamwork. Oh and DON'T ever set fire to polish to ...

Dartmouth

Just wondered if anyone knew if it is worth having a car at BRNC? I will be starting Dartmouth in September and since I live in Scotland was considering driving there. Any info on such things and anything to do with BRNC in general will be appreciated.

:D :D :D

Thanks, Scott.

Re: A Submarine Service question...

I've searched google and this site (as well as the RN one) but can't seem to find an asnwer to this. If you join as a Warfare Officer, could you end up serving on a submarine? Or is this only for people who specialise as a SWO? Also, do they have Hydrographic & Meterological Officers within the ...

Yeah I decided during my third year that I wanted to join and they are going to sponsor my final year. Why can't you apply? I applied while still at uni. Just glad all the waiting is over! I knew I would find out in September but as every day went by I just became more frustrated! :x

Everything you need to know for your AIB is on www.royalnavy.mod.uk.
What date is your AIB?

Have to agree here. I recently passed the AIB, and all you need to learn is on the official website. Don't waste your time searching for tons of information as it is all there for you. If you need help or ...

Cabins? You mean 4 / 15 man messes? Oh - were they next to the little football pitch? Yes they are the same, for the AAC you have to go to Cranwell too but you don't have to attain as high a result in you're aptitude tests. How did you get on at Cranwell, first / second time ?

Mark.

The AIB has ...

Yeh, how did you like Sultan? Whereabout's did you stay while you were doing the AIB? I was there for a couple of month's - had a load of fun there, I was gonna pay a visit to the AIB and ask a couple of Q's before I left, but I'm more focused on the Air Force now, however the RN is my second ...

Neither had I until I arrived at the AIB. I think the AIB has been restructured to try and find out more about you as a person and a leader rather than what you know. Your intelligence can probably be assessed by your previous exam results. Almost all the questions in my interview were based on ...

No current affairs in AIB!

Anyone else recently sat the AIB? The first thing we were told when we arrived was that current affairs is no longer a part of the AIB interview. Only two weeks before I went down my ACLO was still telling me how important it was that I learned current affairs so it's obviously a fairly new thing. I ...
