Sensible questions throughout summer.
Right i'm here for the summer willing to answer any sensible questions on Navy life however I did leave 10 years ago! specialist subject submarines and before anyone asks, no they don't have windows!

Try contacting the Royal Navy submarine museum in Gosport they will have photos and archive information about this boat.

Trenchant was out there too, can't remember if Galahad was in Fremantle after but that was a good run we had divisions and then went out on the lash in rig!

In the navy there are only a few ratings that retain the rate of Seaman (varients of). Anyone that joined up as of 1994 would have been rated according to their trade ie I was an Operator Maintainer Sensors Submarines 1st Class, although this was the same as being an Able Seaman.
