This must be bad for the lads who go into battalion now. Even if your just about to go in or are in training, and do your four years and get out there may be a chance you will never get to jump, this cant be good for recruiting.

The reason i want to join is because they are the best in the army ...

How many meals a day do you get in RT for the royal marines, someone told me they get between three to five because of the amount of calories they burn all the time, is it true, or do they just get the standard three meals a day?

you might aswell sign up, and still do the course, because you will not get a start date this side of christmas, the last intake is october 22nd, then january.

i thought i would make it for october but by the looks of things it will be janary for me.

i read that the paras have a method for breaking down new recruits
and the marines have a different method for this.

i have just come off the insight course so i will give you a touch of info,

we did a bleep test on the first night,
the next day ... in the morning. 1.5 mile run as a group, then 1.5mile best effort ( i think it was a bit more than a mile and a half to be honest)
then we more or less got streight ...

i am thinking about joing either 4 PARA or RMR, to kill some time before i can actually re-do my medical for the marines.

i know some people might say why not just join RMR if its the marines you want, but i would like to have a go at tha 4para training aswell, so i was just wondering, is it ...

i too have a bit of a set back mate, i have to wait till november 2007 before i can go for my medical, because of an astma problem years back, and have never really sufferd from, but keep you mind on your goal, thats what al have to do, you will be back on your feet in no time, good luck ...

to me it sounds like things are getting a bit on top of you, i have been told after the first couple of weeks you get used to it and people get on more with eachother, just hang in there mate remember what your there for, how long you have wanted it, good luck with everything

i thought you could start training the week after you pass the prmc, or did you just want more time?
