being a Gunner in the RAf would definitely be my first choice but it would have to be full time. I couldn't continue working in a call centre as i do now along with being a part time gunner.....
i want to really push myself into something that is totally out of my comfort zone and experience much ...

Joining regiment at 29??!!
What does everyone think of going into the RAF Regiment at the max age?? I've also been thinking of Royal Marines but posted msg on there and q few people think that the older you are the harder on your body the training and whole regime would be!!

Haven't got PRMC date yet, still need more time to train, my fitness levels are not what I want them to be yet!! I want to be more than ready when I go.
My press ups sets usually work out at about 45, 35 and 30.... around that amount anyway. So you see I still need more time to get my first set up ...

Training Schedule.....
Day 1 - Resistance training.
30 minutes of press ups, pull ups, dips and sit ups.
3 sets of maximum reps on each.
Followed by 10 mins of skipping
Day 2 - Cardio
2/3 mile run as fast as I can.
This is then repeated until I've done 3 of each day in every week.
I will swim as well on cardio days ...

thanks guys, it's good to get a little input from likeminded people for a change, my girlfriend won't be too happy when I turn around and say I'm thinking of going into the marines. she's always known I've been interested in the forces but I think it might be a shock when I say it's the marines or ...

I know age has been an issue before on the forum, but I was wondering if any of the serving guys or previously serving had any older guys on their training course. How did they get on and do you think the older guys have any kind of a disadvantage??
