re Veloman's reference to unwanted Corps property ... perhaps a new "Tradition" should be instituted,whereby .. when the outgoing C.O. of RM Poole is pulled/carried around Camp by the Officers & SNCO's (do they still do that ?) ... "Charlie Oscar" should be carrying the "Arms" ... I reckon they'd ...

Just to clarify a point made by "May18" ... the Police ("Home Office") Forces,that is do not have a "no strike" deal ... they are forbidden to go on strike by Law as enshrined in the Police Act 1919 ... see www.polfed.org

I wonder,does anyone else remember a 3 Badge Marine called "Whispering" Smith ..,so called because the story had it that he had been in 41 (Independent) Cdo @ Chosin & having been captured was tortured & could afterwards barely speak,He was employed by the Corps at Poole in the late 60's to wet the ...
