OK Adam. These had me for a while as well until I tried these techniques.

First, if you use a chair and get in a position were you already have your chin over the bar you should be able to hold your weight (overhand grip don't forget! Thumbs over and not around the bar!). Now, lower yourself very ...

Hahaha. Good one, but the reason I'm with a woman is because I just couldn't stand having a man around. Only joking. Guess I'd set meself up for that one.

Fancy lending me your woman? Totally understand if its a big no!! Haha

If it stops you doing your job (i.e. running, carrying a shed load of equipment et cetera) then I would definately worry. Bottom line is, if you have ever had to stop training during a run or skipping a day because of pain or fear it will get worse then I would worry as this will obviously hold you ...

Dangermouse, I second the university lifestyle being appalling. I only live with 4 others but believe me that is bad enough. It takes a lot of self control and motivation to get down the gym when the xbox 360 with pro evo 2008 is going and they are all having so much fun. But they're all top lads in ...

I have recently taken my psychometric test and am looking to apply for officer after a few years in the RMR whilst in university. Just wondering what the pass requirement is for officer. I scored 97 out of 120, I realise a pass for general duties is 47 but what do you need for officer?

P.S, listen ...

I'm certain I'm not training for the minimum! My PRMC is in September, I'm applying for RMR (only PJFT to go untill I attend Holding Troop). I just wanted to know the minimum to increase confidence. Training 100% is obvious. I forget who has the quote but someone has attached under their posts that ...

Mate, I'm sure anybody with the fitness levels and right aptitude could make it. P.S, Andy McNab was in the Greenjackets and a guy I know who competes in the SLMM and OMM mountain marathons made it to SAS and he started as a raw recruit in the army (forget the exact unit). Actually, there's quite a ...

Women are put on this planet to hold back men, stop them from playing sports, making them feelin guilty and absolutely rinsing our bank accounts clean. I'm nineteen years old and have already learnt this life lesson. The solution to this problem however is still to be found. If anyone has any ...

Bare minimum!

What would anyone say was the bare minimum amount of reps for pull ups, press ups, sit ups etc? What can you do?

Just so I have something to go by. Nice bit of competition here as well. Always helps!

Cheers!

I think it really hits home what the guys went through for us. Most realistic/horrifying capture of WW2 events I think. P.S, I don't think the British are portrayed as idiots, what about the scene were a whole troop emerge from the bushes. Makes us look professional!!!

Great series!

Do you mean they were accepted in May and then attended the centre once a week until November? Was a bit confused as to what you meant. Thanks!

RMR Holding Troop (cannot be true!)

Hi, heard a rumour while we were all sitting in our Hugh Heffner robes in the medical that there is a possibility of our holding troop lasting until September! Can we be held in it for 8 months before being allowed to go for PRMC? The regulars earn their berets in that time!!!

Cheers for any replies
