Well done mate, you keep that up and the 3 miler will be no problem! Would do some distance running at a nice easy pace to, 5 miles or so to get used to it.

How's the press up's and sit up's? :)

Got my final interview with an Officer on Tuesday 22/01/08. Can anyone tell me what sort of things they might ask or is it just a case of confirming what trade you want to go into? Know it's a shirt and tie job but anymore info would be appreciated! :D

If it all goes well they have offered me a ...

Suppose your back is more important mate, don't want it to be f@*ked for life!

Got some good scores on the tests too, but couldn't imagine sitting at a desk doing communications or fixing things in a hanger!

Gutted about the chicks, but they can wait....... lol :D

Good insite that mate. Know what your saying about improving and stuff. The 3 miler on my PGAC was probably the easiest test of all. The pace was medium and the ground was flat, and on grass! The course itself was tough. Early starts, marching around lessons in the field etc.

Can't really comment ...

No offence Keates but someone who has experienced a TG course will think that PGAC is not that hard. The tempo increases on the TG course with the runs and the fitness so people hoping to pass a PGAC don't need to be running the 3 miler in 16 mins!

Sorry to hear that you had to come out mate, what ...

The run is round a field (made up of a couple of footy pitches and a rugby pitch I think?) It's flat and on grass. 6 times round run in two ranks. I just tucked myself in behind (in a good way  ) the PTI on stayed there the whole time so I knew the pace and didn't have to worry about taking ...

Wan't just talking abou the fitness requirements Rockape_884, the whole thing was an eye opener! A real insight into military life, lining up in two ranks, inspections, early starts and some of the things we did when we got into the field. I knew it would be hard and I know that the TG course will ...

What a f*@king eye opener! Word of advice for anyone looking to join the RAF Regiment and do a PGAC: If you can't reach and exceed the minimum standerd on the fitness, DON'T BOTHER TURNING ...

Well done mate!! :D

Got my date for my PGAC changed to the 07/01/2008 now so if all goes well might get on that TG Course your on.

Few questions if you can answer them mate:

Did they stop you at 10 press-up's and 25 sit-up's or was it best effort, same for the Bleep Test?

What was the 3 mile ...

You haven't got anything to worry about. If you found 3 miles easy then 4 won't be bad. Then you will get built up to 5, 6, 7 miles etc see what I mean. :D

If you do all the PT sessions then I think you will be fine!

If your worried about swimming, get down your local pool (or river, seaside etc ...
