I know that if, for example a brit joined hed be fighting for France, but none the less the experience would be great. What about South Africans, Ozzies etc... that join the british forces, they fight for Britain.

I don't think that I've personally got the balls to say "bye mum, I'm off to join the ...

Thanks for the info Chas. I thought
it would be odd if they beat a recruit to death,
But I saw a clip of a legion NCO smack a soldier
accross the head for some reason, though that was a bit harsh
but thats how it goes sometimes.

When I was up there, there was no sexual abuse, but I did see alot of bullying.

People say "well tell someone about it", but if you did you'd get filled in. Not to discourage you though, because I joined in 2004, so it maybe a bit different now.

two other things, catterick is one of the most ...

Does anyone know anything about the selection etc...?
I heard that some recruits get beaten to death, is there any truth to this?
And lastly, how many weeks training do they do before they are "in"?

Thanks

Hello, I'm shi**ing bricks about the medical, even though I dont know when i'll have it yet.

I was Medically Discharged from para training back in 2004, only got to week 6 as well. Any how, I was MD because My knee was being a bender, I'm still not sure what the injury was, I was just MD and told ...

Sorry to be kind of steeling your thread, but I have a similar question if I may?

I was medically discharged during para training, not for a long term injury, and it has been fully healed for about 2yrs. I completed my Royal Marine application form about 6 months after I was MedDis, but stopped ...

He should start your application, or else you could complain. There is no set amount of press-ups that you need to do in order to join the paras (there wasn’t when I joined)

Your AFCO recruiter sounds like a tw*t, just apply, bang out press-ups, but don’t worry too much about them (unless you can ...

I’m a bum, I do nothing all day apart from watch films and do A level English. I want to join the marines in a few months so I’m running 4 days a week, that’s my current job, but it lasts about an hour a pop.

Hi, I was medically discharged from infantry training in 2004; will I have to wait 5 years :o before applying for the marines?

If that is the case I’m rather fooked as my intension is to apply for marines in about 2-3 months time.

Thanks
