CIC (PARA) is 28 weeks, 6.5 months long.

P Coy is weeks 21-22, after P Coy you do a series of exercises including live firing.

Your BPC (Basic Parachute Course) is another four weeks.

Go to a physio mate. It could be a variety of things causing the pain.

I got medded off my Pre Para last year due to them.

I've only just dragged my arse to a physio and he says I may need orthotics (spazzer insoles). I'm due to tip up at Depot again very soon, and for ME hot water bottles and ...

Steady state running (and other conventional cardio activities) can induce catabolic metabolism ("burning muscle") as muscle is a more readily available source of energy than fat (think marathon runners and their opposite sprinters).

As long as you eat regularly throughout the day high calorific ...

PT01,

Cheers for the reply as always.

I'm going to try and get to a physio before my intake and I've just taken delivery of 3 sets or Sorby insoles.

As for the run, less than a year ago I was doing that in 8.27 :-? . Maybe because I hadn't ran for ages as I'm still injured then my legs needed the ...

Cheers PT 01,

Pathfinder Platoon would be mega, I read the chapter in Patrick Bishop's book and the fund raising they did recently. My uncle was Gungy 3 so I'd like to get assigned to them.

One problem I think I'm going to have though; I run like a spacker so have overpronation trainers, my mate ...

I'm not off to Sandhurst now mate.

When I started at 4 PARA my 1.5 time was 8.27, but I'm a lot fitter now, all round strength and endurance wise. I think it's because I didn't run for a while due to injury that my time is still pish. I took 14 seconds off in 3 weeks with 3 hill sprint sessions and ...

Waiting out for a call back from the AFCO, they're a bit thin on the ground staff wise at the moment and with it being Easter, I'll expect a call next week.

More hill sprints to get that time down.

Why don't you just do Depot like everyone else?

Stop trying to short cut it to a Maroon lid.

Don't forget basic stuff like pinchy clothes hangers (for your CS95 trousers), bungees, trouser twists and the like.

Not sure if these are on the kit list, but just in case they aren't I thought I'd remind ya! :D
