Gents/ladies

I am currently serving in the navy I wish to transfer to the army and have been told i cant until i have served my return of service (only another 8 months so not a massive problem.)

However I imagined id be able to take my 4 years naval service into the army and put it towards my 22 ...

haha very wise word indeed rover! yeah sorry im not biting this one..... im sure theres a sprog somewhere who just asked if the SAS would consider letting him move his mum into barracks so he didnt miss her to much...try him! :lol:

Id be very intrested to her more about this other fellas transfer ...

I apreciate the input mate however I think with no actual combat experience and very little infantry/soldiering experience. Going for selection would be a pretty silly idea. I do wanna get stuck in dont get me wrong and dont rule out SF as an option one day as it is the ultimate acomplishment but ...

excuse my ignorance but are you refering to going communicator in the RN? as this would mean doing time on a ship to get my task book complete before such a transfer would be possible, please correct me if you meant something else. however jumping out of perfectly good aircraft does sound hoofin :lol:

thank you for the reply doc,

I spoke to my local AFCO last week, the staff there told me that he had never heard of anyone transfering before return of service is up (to answer your next question i have until april next year until im served up.)

thanks for the reply mate,

I understand the marines is an option i have a history in the marines i made it half way thru basic in 2005 which is probably why ive found the navy such a culture shock, there attitude does seem to be 'minimum effort maximum loafing'.
