training corporal told me, more than a few years ago now, that they stopped using the 7.62 because its stopping power was s**t, rounds were just going straight through the target, so 5.56 because it tumbles and makes more of a mess

as a side note, and not something you can do on your PJFT, for your PRMC practice sprinting, and i do mean sprinting, not just upping the pace slightly, the last 200, 250 metres, or as far as you can over the 100 mark, this can make up some pretty handy seconds at the end of the run and looks pretty ...

I have to say i'm joining up because i really want to do stuff that not alot of people get to do, jumping out of helicopters, night time cliff assaults, 9mm pistol on the range, how often do you get those chances as a civvie, not that i dont love my country, but im in it for the experiences

i quite liked the thin red line, whole load of guys i knew in the Kings own scottish borderers went to watch it because they thought it was about the battle of Balaklava, one of their battle honours, boy were they disapointed, i also have an unfinished copy of jarhead if anyone wants it
