I actually did the Endurance course at the weekend as part of my RMR training. There is nothing really to worry about. There was not that much water in the tunnels and thats in the middle of winter after alot of rain! You'll be hanging out of your hoop and adrealine will be kicking in so the last th...

Well fo major muscle groups stick to core exercises.. Press ups for chest, triceps and shoulders (although not so much), Pull ups for back and biceps, Squats for legs. If you have access to the gym then you can do things like bench press, incline, decline for chest....shoulder press for shoulders an...

Not sure about a 6-pack, I normally get a 4-pack or 8-pack from Tesco for the weekend. Fosters mainly, but stella if I'm feeling adventurous.

No I'm not in holding troop at the mo, I went to the presentation evening at Bristol a couple of months back and have just been doing all the paperwork and interviews, tests etc in the mean time. Selection weekend is 12-14th October for Bristol I've been told. So hopefully I can go to a couple of ho...

Well Bristol is my nearest unit but I start a new job in a few weeks in Bournemouth so the Poole detachment would be the nearest. Phys is coming on nicely, I just can't really be arsed putting all the details as a signature. I play football a couple of times a week, go to the gym and lately started ...

Aye I guess the drop out rate would be quite high for the reasons you mentioned. What's it like after you get back from a weekend, are you totally fooked? I finish early on a friday anyway so that would be ideal. What are the trained rank weekends? Are they an extra to the phase 2 weekends you are d...

Can you expand on the flexible enough job comment please? Say, if you work 9-5 monday - friday, then is the only time you need to book off essentially, is the 2 weeks at lympstone at the end of each phase? Some companies may give you this time off as unpaid leave, some may even pay you if they recog...

Hey, there's actually an RMR sub-board thingy on here, so that should probably be your first port of call. Personally, I am in the process of applying for the RMR. I have passed my basic entry test (the maths english one etc), eye test, interview and medical. I plan on doing my PJFT test tonight if ...

On pyramid press ups, after you have done the first 10 for example, do you go straight into the 9, or do you get a breather, knees on floor etc? Or do you stay in the up pressup position? The training programm looks good but I'd put another rest day in there, esp as you are 2 doing both am and pm se...

I'd say sack off the downhill sprints, chances are that they could do more harm than good e.g. heavy on knees, injuries etc. Also, mix your runs a bit, I see you're doing 3, 3 mile runs a week. Why not do a 1.5m run, a 3 miler and an 8 miler or something like that. Note all the above is just my opin...

Cheers,

I thought you get the kit issued on the Induction weekend, I guess this isn't the case anymore?

Also, was the swimming test just jump off a board and swim a length of the pool?
