Cheers for that guys. It's just depressing being back at home knowing everyone else is back at depot, passing off the square in the morning.

Keeping my fitness at a high standard is my main priority at the minute. Lots of swimming and lots of work in the gym. At least it's given me an extra month ...

On The Biff For A Sodding Month!!!

I'm back after 5 weeks of training! Dr has given me a month on the biff for my shins to heal! I only really went for a bit of advice and maybe some painkillers and he ended up giving me 2 options (after having an xray).

1) Get a MD
2) Join Falklands Platoon and get physio

Well, the time has finally come. It's taken a bloody long time to get here but at last i'm in! I'll be off to sunny Catterick tomorrow morning to start my 28 weeks of hell!! :lol:

if you type press ups in the search thing, it will bring up hundreds of threads on various types to do to improve yourself. How many of them work i dont know, but might be worth a shot mate.

Not really any secrets mate apart from shite loads of practice. There aren't any get fit quick regimes that will work mate, just practice, practice, practice. If you are struggling, there might be quite a lot of info in the bootneck section. Every other thread seems to be about 'the perfect press up ...

Is it worth taking a 'smart' shirt and shoes in the 1st 6 weeks if you aren't allowed out of depot? Or do you need to be wearing them if you want to leave for the night on parents day?

1 PARA are now Special Forces Support Group (SFSG). As their name suggests, they support the SF and hence are not part of 16 Air Assault Brigade.
