i have finally given up!
i spoke to cranwell this week - there is no way on this earth that i will start iot before april as an int officer (decision to be made in october) so fine, i'm going travelling for 3 months in january. finally, something good to come out of cranwell. i'm going to australia ...

How long after your intial interview at AFCO is it until you get invited to OASC, if you're invited at all that is?

Also if you do well at OASC and they offer you a place how long can it be till you join?

I think it's ridiculous. Talk about indecisive. Do the RAF not realise they are messing up people's lives ?? How long can they realistically expect you to wait for to show you are committed??

It's only aircrew Cathy, because of the amount of time spent at altitude, so you should be fine.

Also heard today that my mate who's already in the RAF is through, he starts his aircrew training Oct 3rd. I owe him rather a lot of beer when I join him at Cranwell, and the phone number of any nice ...

I'm sure you'll be fine in regards to the requirements for Jengos. Remember that Typhoon is replacing the Jag aswell, and although tranche 3 isn't certain, I think tranche 1 and 2 add up to about 130 aircraft.
