The site is run by ex-S...

GCSE's

Hi in SA we don’t have GCSE's but rather use a matriculation exemption system. Is anyone able to tell me what the matric equivalent is in order to get in as an officer. Thanx, may sound like a bone question but I really have no clue!!

45-60 minutes 3 times a week is more then enough particularly if you doin sport/fitness aswell. and E5 is right.. you'll see much better gains if you do compound free weight exercises instead of machines.

You shouldn't lift weights for more than 60 minutes. Doing so releases cortisol and other "bad" hormones that negatively effect the work you've just been doing.

Calisthenics most definately do improve endurance but will only improve speed and power if done explosively with extended periods of rest as muscular fatigue hinders the adaptation of the motor neurons and results in a slower contraction time and a lower contraction force which in turn equals less p...

sprinting around a football field then performing pushups and sit ups is HIIT. if you looking to put on weight calisthenics isn't going to do the job as it is a muscular endurance exercise and fails to overload the body enough to force significant amounts of hypertrophy.
