Apologies, I was not aware that each Cdo had a 'Comms Squadron', I assumed (obviously incorrectly!) that the CSG Comms Squadron deployed as it's own entity in support of whichever Cdo was deployed. I was under the impression that the CSG was solely responsible for providing rear link Comms for the ...

UKLF CSG

Was just looking around for info on where the Comms squadron from the CSG are based currently, I assume they are at RM Stonehouse, but I am unsure of how up to date the information I have seen is. Any one able to confirm this for me please?

Hi folks, still waiting to join, passed medical, PJFT in a fortnight, but struggling for the time, cant get much better than 11 mins at the moment (11 dead funnily enough!), any tips to help me drop the minute odd in time for the PJFT? And supposing I don't make the time, when/will I be allowed to ...

Well guys, just another update, and the good news is I have finally passed the Medical, shaved of just enough pounds (1stone 1lb) to pass, but I am still looking to trim down to around 14 and a bit. I have taken on board all the great advice from you guys and I owe you all a cyber pint, thanks again ...

Yeah mate. 1.5m in 12 and a half mins, then 1.5m in 10mins 30 secs.
Any particular reason for this changing? Is it an effort to boost recruitment/pass numbers?

Was using the search button to answer a question but the last post is over 3 years old so checking to see if anything has changed regarding this course? It is still quoted on the official RM recruiting pages so curious to find out if it still exists?

P.S
I appreciate that you should always aim to ...

Do you swim and cycle at all mate? Great for helping your Cv and easy on the old joints. Expecially as you are progressing, it will help you loose some weight for running which will reduce chances of geting injured.

Also fair play mate with your progress, knocking 10 minutes off your time is great ...

Hi guys, just a wee updated for all those interested. I failed the medical on the grounds that I am 'overweight' for the Marines, which is fair enough in itself, but the fact is that my weight has dropped very little but my general fitness has rocketed. The first 3 miler I did took me 35+ minutes ...

Waiting to hear back from AFCO about a medical issue just now, hopefully it will be ok and I can get a PRMC sorted and get going, its frustrating having to wait for the nod from the Doc though.

RM Accomodation

Just out of interest, does anyone (out of training) know what the accomodation is like at RM bases for singlies, ie single man rooms, project SLAM and the like? I know that its an ongoing process for upgrading accomodation and was quite lucky (near the end anyway) with my last Barrack Block whilst ...

Do they take a blood test at any stage? I am not worried about it due to illegal reasons, but because I sometimes have a high level of uric acid in my blood, which is synomonous with the symptoms of gout, something which I do not experience other symptoms of, ie joint pain. I am otherwise in good ...
