Just in a agreement with everyone else on this one really, having recently taken PRMC myself I would definitely say that running is one of the most important parts of training. It's imperative to everything that is done on PRMC, all of the tests involve either running or sprinting so train for both ...

The careers office will process your application mate and they will more than likely get you on a PRMC towards the end of your college year and get you ready for RT as soon as your ready for it after college. In my experience they work with you and try to accommodate your requirements as best they ...

Just a quick one, I've had a search around on here but haven't had much luck getting any details on what unit joining runs are? (I may just be shite with the search button or I might be being naive or something :D )

Is it some sort of welcoming test/thrashing to see what your made of?

Just dig in there fellas!

You can rest assured if you have put some good time and effort in to training and have pushed yourself even when hanging out that you should get through this course!

I don't know if it helps but personally I found the Bottom Field and Gym Test 2 the better parts of the ...

Personally I don’t think the hostile atmosphere is doing the individuals involved or the forum as a whole any favours, too many posts seem to end up in arguments. The forum is here for advice which is built up on opinions and constructive criticism.

I don’t know if I’m talking out of my arse so correct me if I’m wrong here but the way I understand it is that wearing a red beret would denote that you are part of or attached to a para unit which would not be the case for a parachute trained RM Cdo as they would still be part of their Cdo unit but ...

PRMC Predicament

Hello everyone,

I’m in a bit of a predicament about my PRMC. The situation is that I have been training hard since late August to get myself ready for my 2nd PRMC (first one was in 2003 from which I withdrew and decided that I wasn’t ready at that time). Anyway my PRMC date has come through quicker ...

This might help get a better idea of the take home from £12572, although food and accom will need to be taken off the final figure.

Hi marine_wannabe,

Firstly, I would like to say well done for your first 6 weeks!

What have your ups and downs been so far? Have you been coping ok with the phys? Also what are the class room sessions like and what sort of stuff have you been learning?

Cheers and good luck!

I dropped out because it wasn't what I expected, not talking about just the fitness! Alls I'm saying is anybody with a resenable amount of fitness will be about to pass the 6 month training.

He cannot spell and believes that RM training is 6 months.

This post isn’t even worth getting wound up ...
