Stay low and move fast.
The best way is for your NCO's not to know your name because 9/10 the NCO will only remember a recruits name for being gobby or a mong.
Stick with it and remember know matter how hard your finding it mate it doesn't compare to the job the lads from 2 and 3 para will be doing ...

Yeah I think you might be right about the Paras stressing the importance of running, as it seems that they are more interested in having blokes that can keep going for long distances rather than pumped-up muscle men.

They want pumped up musclemen who can run the distance

Size or weight ...

In my opinion the press ups and sit ups you do when you first turn up just sets a good impression with your training team, when i passed out of training though there were blokes that still couldnt do over 50!
I think your recruiting officer is just jealous he never went for the reg

Age and hopefully maturity will definatly help you, the instructors will probably have higher expectations of you, as age sometimes (not always) means responsibility!

Age means nothing when you turn upto depot. your all shitstains no matter who you are or where you've come from. I'm 17 and they ...

Stolen or broke Craig?

Broken. Accidentally though, just lending it to my mates. Irons always have a tendancy to jump off the ironing board.
A good tip coming from someone who's just come out of depot ;)
When you go on exercise always take a moral bag with you, Eg: 2-3 bags of haribo in one big ...

I reckon find out your body weight, add a little more weight on top of that and try and lat pull down that. The point of adding a bit more weight is so that when it comes to actually doing pull ups it will be easier because you will have been practicing lifting more than your body weight :wink ...

I also find the Lats pull down machine at the gym b****y brilliant for building the pull up reps.
Give it a whirl! :D
I've been meaning to give it a go actually. :D

Could you tell me the number of reps and sets you use to maximise improvement on pull-ups? I'm not sure whether to go for endurance ...
