No, TA soldiers have never been trained on helicopters whilst in the TA. The Pilots that served with what was 7 Regiment (V) AAC were all ex-regular pilots who transferred to the TA. 7 Regiment was disbanded earlier this year and reformed at Middle Wallop as the Flying Training Regiment.

Hello mate. Your age will not be a problem you may find training easier due to the fact you will have more life experience and maturity. When I did my ADSC for the Army last year the oldest person there was about your age and passed everything with ease, coming first in the 1.5 mile run. Not so sure...

I believe the Army online recruiters have several medical personnel so I would recommend having a chat with them.

Just make sure you know ALL your job choices off by heart. Dont let the recruiter change your mind because you could do another job, if you want to do Tank Crewman, go for that. Dont let the recruiter choose, since its YOUR career.

When I had a job and had to ge up early in the morning to run, I found I prefered to have just a slice or two of toast and drink some water. When I got back I would then have my weetabix or whatever. I prefered this because I could go straight out for my run and not feel my breakfast reminding me of...

1. For my ADSC I did my normal weeks workout, and then i simply had 2 days of rest before my ADSC, making sure I didnt totally exhaust myself. The run is not too hard, put your head down and go for it. Watch out for the PT session the night before! 2. Its all here: http://www.welbeck.mod.uk/Fitness/...

Not too sure on this one, though I would imagine the larger colleges would be more likely to run them, in oreder to get enough people. Just contact any colleges in your area to find out if your interested.

The 800m warmup is light jogging/power walking as a group - nothing to worry about. Watch out for the PT the night before though, since my legs were still stiff from that when we did the 1.5 the next morning :).
