Im in the army cadets so Army Work experience didnt really appeal to me it sounded quite boring and the chaps that went didnt get to do much at all accept go running and stuff, so the reason i went to work in a Firm was because i would have something to compare the Military Life style with and see ...

all u have to do is walk into your AFCO and ask for Pamflets on the Royal Marines and your GAURANTEED to be handed the Green Bible !

whats the difference...

Ive used the search tool btw before anyone says!!

I see quite alot of people really wanting to join the RM's as officers and others just wanting to join as a Marine even though they have the neccessary qualifications.

I would quite like to know the difference in both jobs, what makes one better ...

basically just a pamflet giving details about the PRMC, 32 Weeks Basic trianing and then goes on to talk about Specialisations, its quite a good booklet !

heights never used to bother me i used to do abseiling etc and would never get scared, but then as i got older i think i got more aware of what i was doing and then wen i joined the Army Cadets i went to my 1st Adventure weekend and couldnt do the Abseiling lol, BUT the next day i just went for it ...

thanks for the info,

but could someone please explain to me what the SAS/SBS do on a weekly basis? Are they just like the Armed Forces, do exercises every so often and just train, or are they involved in a special kinds of Exercises?

sas, sbs ?

I know quite a bit about the SAS but not much about the SBS and would like to know a bit about the SBS and whats the difference between the 2, also are Marines allowed to apply for the SBS ? If this is so are they allowed to apply for the SAS ? or is the SAS only open to the Army ?
