Rest the day before, that's it. (Although a week off or a week continued will make no difference.) Just finished my POC and it was the hardest test of my life....bone breaking difficulty.....pun intended. Couldn't agree more. I had 1 week off which I think was too long. You need to keep your mind i...

Re: POC Fitness standards
I was just wondering what the fitness standards someone would need for the POC course, i.e running, pressups, sit ups, pull ups, bleep test. Thank you. Personally I saved myself from a fail by murdering the gym tests by over-preparing for the pressups, situps and pullups (you are absolutely thrashe...

Dangermouse, I second the university lifestyle being appaling. I only live with 4 others but believe me that is bad enough. It takes a lot of self control and motivation to get down the gym when the xbox 360 with pro evo 2008 is going and they are all having so much fun. But they're all top lads in...

A3 size Resealable bags... Does anyone know where you can get these from? I've tried all over the place, art shops, stationery shops, EBay...! Found everything up to A4 size but no one seems to do any bigger! I realize it's not essential but I like to try and be prepared. A3? I must have made a typ...

No you have to wear issued uniform until you pass out of training, only then you can buy your own boots. You'll be given a second pair of boots and drill boots upon arrival - if yours don't fit you'll be given the opportunity to swap them when you are having your kit issued or afterwards (the sgt wi...

Re: PRMC Predicament
Hello everyone, I’m in a bit of a predicament about my PRMC. The situation is that I have been training hard since late August to get myself ready for my 2nd PRMC (first one was in 2003 from which I withdrew and decided that I wasn’t ready at that time). Anyway my PRMC date has come through quicker...

I don't think it's the the phys, I think it's the constant mental pressure that causes some lads to think again, I would assume it affects the younger guys more and realising it isn't for you and vowing to return when you feel you're up to it is a very mature and sensible thing to do. These are jus...
