You can be back batched and will get a post somewhere (possibly admin or learning a language etc) for the rest of the year, then join the next batch usually at a similar point of training. Not what you want to happen but at least the Corps looks after you if you're biffed!

People tend to either fail on fitness or if the training team think you aren't mature enough. Your leadership skills and decision making ability are explored and if they're not strong enough or they think your not experienced enough you wont pass. Good luck next week Jiml_mix_it, you goin for this ...

I use anti-blister socks when doing long runs and they work really well. I know there are different kinds you can get, and I havent used mine with boots as I havent needed to really.
I dont know much about glasses/contact lenses but expect to be soaked at EVERY outdoor activity!
As others have said ...

Trust me mate, you want to finish your A-levels at least. I can understand that you want to get there as quick as possible but the best thing you can do for yourself, and for your application, is to finish your A-levels and then think about doing something else for a year or so (Uni/travel etc ...

I've got myself some 1000mile socks (I got mine for normal running, not for running in boots but I'm sure they would still work). You can get them on the internet/ebay etc. they guarantee no blisters and they have worked for me, best £5 I've ever spent, anyone having any blister problems should give ...

Good effort Stinky, you can do a lot in 6 months so make the most of them. Have no doubt you will make it through it in the end , going back a second time says a lot about a person, I hope you make it mate. Seems like your trying to take the positives out of the experience which is the best thing to ...

Kevin - RMR would certainly do you no harm, at AIB they look for examples where you have worked as a team, showed some sort of commitment and stuck at it, worked through difficult situations and, of course, been a leader. RMR will give you plenty of examples, I'm sure, for these sorts of things. I ...

Ramz - yeah you would have to do POC/AIB before uni and they do have a sponsorship policy.
Chris - you can probably still get sponsored mate, I didn't do my POC 'til July last year and then AIB in September and that was still in time for this year. The board for the sponsorships doesn't meet until ...

Had lower back problems over Christmas myself, there's loads of different exercises you can do but be careful, don't just do a couple of them because they sound alright, get proper advice or you may end up building up the muscles around the problem and making it worse on yourself. Physio is ...

Fubar, good luck with your next AIB mate, I know you've already been there but if you want to go over anything before you head down in March give me a shout. Just been through it recently myself, I don't have all the answers but I might be able to help if you want to go over anything.
Good luck ...

Alright Seb,
I'm going cycling around Europe this summer, nothing like 300miles in 4 days but looking at covering about 1500 miles over several weeks. All I'd suggest is get as comfortable as possible with your bike, the saddle, handlebars, pedals etc and change what isn't right for you. You can ...

To answer your question mate, don't worry about your student debts, just put down everything that you owe, it won't hold you back at all. I imagine it's looking for anyone that may have significant monetary debts that may cause a problem, they understand what your finances will be like as a student ...
