If people have experienced shin splints (or any other leg injury) before joining, will this re-occur once in full training at CTC with all the running ...

Jarhead - could you explain the shin splints exercise again please? I've been running today after doing sprints last night and had to stop and walk 3 miles back as my shins were so painful - the first time I've had it like that and would like to get it sorted. Cheers

POC experiences

I have mine at the end of May (must be about the last one for the intake this year!)

I know theres the advice on the POC/AIB advice page - which is very useful - but I'm just ...

POC - leturette

I was given a breakdown of the POC by my AFCO when I went for my intial interview - it stated that the topic for the lecturette was YOU - as in talk about yourself.

I have since recieved almost exactly the same copy from the AIB with the date for my POC - this time the lecturette topic is stated as ...

Boots or no boots...?

Hi all,

I'm new to the site, so sorry if this has been covered in another topic before.

I've bought a pair of boots to train in and use at my POC, but have had mixed messages on how to use them.

I've read some bits saying I should run in them for a couple of months prior to the POC, and I've also ...
