whether there is still a legend of a Colour Sergeant there. (Colours Beret)
Just to let you know... it was Colour Sergeant Berry, and my Careers Officer told me hes gone now (think promoted- he bloody deserved it!).

I have my POC (again) on the 10th March, but will re-post about that.

Good luck ...

YO training, decision date

Hi all,

Does anybody have a definate date for when everyone that passed POC and AIB finds out if they've made it from pool to '06 Batch?

I've heard a couple of whispers, one that it's around the 17th of this month, the other the 17th of next.

As everyone else is my position I'm sure agrees; the ...

Cheers lads,

I find out if I'm in the '06 Batch in mid July!

There were 3 other YO's on my Board, 2 others passed.

There was another Board boarding the day after me, which had another 4 YO's, but I don't know how any of those did.

Hi Chris, I use both glasses and lenses.

For POC I chose lenses I could wear 24/7, but i chose to take them out at night, clean them and leave them until the morning.

It's important to let your eyes breath.

The only point I found them to be a bit of a problem was after the sheep dip, as my left ...

Cheers lads (and Ladies)

Yer, colours is an absolute legend... I've never had to conceal laughter as much as by the pool, with him in those shorts :D:D

My gym test score was second to best, a Lad called Nutt (from Newcastle RMR) bettered me!

My scores are as follows:

Pressups: 60
Situps: 85

POC- 1st May- PASSED

Well lads, I've done it!
It was a hard as I expected, and in parts even harder!

I'm going to write a small summary of my time there for anybody who's interested, but as Deadhead has already written a very comprehensive account, I will mainly talk about where my course was different ...

POC 1st May

Anybody else going down on the 31st of April for the 1st May POC?

I've got my medical on the 5th April in Manchester, anybody from Manchester going to be there?

Also, what actually happens in the medical. [Jokes aside]

Cheers,

New POC info

I have just been for an interview with my CLO at the Manchester AFCO, and was told that as of recent:
Gym Test 1 at POC candidates are no longer required to press up, sit up or pull up to the bleep. It is in free time within 2 mins. All the other points/scoring is the same. Hope PO's find this useful.
