That was extremely helpful thanks GGHT ive seen a few others about the warmups but didnt help me realise how intense they were, looks like i will be doing more sprint work then.

Ok did another 1.5 mile run today and i got 8:17 so thats a good 11 secs off my previous time, I dont know if its the colder weather that made me run better or not but I havent even been training really.

to be honest there are probably plenty of ppl out there who will run 1.5 miles alot faster than 10 but as long as you do it in the given time it doesnt really matter because its not really a race against other people.

2.4 km is 1.5 miles, and your time isnt that bad but i supose it could be improved, Most the people on this website get between about 9 and 10 minutes.

how old are you, and whats your hieght and wieght?

i know that the pjft times for the navy are 12.20 for 16-25 year old lads

our class in college gets to go on one, ill try and remember to write in and say how it went, not sure when it is though.

The lady who teaches us reckons that I could knock a bit more off my time, id be chuffed if I could knock ten seconds off im aiming to do that at about late november, I reckon its a good target to set.

Finally found a place to put it my 1.5 miler was 8:29 well chuffed

everytime i do a new one at college ill put it down here, i take three a year in hope the that i improve, our group was fastest in the college ever my times are not bad at all, but i still came third in our group

i agree i also love crappy weather, it really gets me going especially when

i see people and they give you that " good on you lad " sort of look just

makes me feel loads better, then you get indoors and the next day you

just feel fitter, and more relaxed. sorry for being off-topic

im going to look a prat by saying this but maybe you should put it of for a

good little while till you are a hundred percent, cause i wouldnt want too

fail a medical if i was doing it whilst ill, but then i guess someone who

knows more can give better advice, this is just what id do in your ...
