Theres not much advice I can give that isn't already on this site, So the best piece of advice I would give to anyone who wanted to try for the prmc is to have a good look through this forum :)

Thanks guys, but I don't think the Marines are for me, so I won't be joining, still got a pair of boots though :P

Any questions on the prmc I will answer for you though.

I guess you are right, I got 9:10 on my pjft but found the 3 miler very tough (just passed prmc on thursday) seemed alot quicker than 22.5 to me.

Trust me, the pjft is a walk in the park next to prmc. That time needs to be 9:30 or less in my opionion.

Hey Sandaz.

Who took your interview at the nottingham branch ? After my interview, they sorted me out my pjft stright away. And after I passed that (9:10) I was given my prmc date the same day I took my pjft to them.

Goodluck with the training, what was the schedual they gave you ? I wasn't given ...

Just make sure you know everything in the green booklet to be honest, and the name of the 3 ships the Royal Marines use, HMS Ocean, Balwark, Albion, what they do. Also many Victoria cross winners the marines have (local to us its the last guy in the green booklet, he lives near nottingham I think or ...

I had mine not long ago, you might have the same guy as I did (im form nott's also) Mr Turner was his name :) Its pretty stright forward, just make sure you know the badge, the major battles and about the prmc and training course and the rest is just personal stuff, what teams, clubs you have been ...

Yes they make you warm up. For mine I spent 5 minutes on a bike with lowish gear setting and then 5 minutes of stretching, then going over how the machine works and away you go.
