Well passed all the tests, but have decided against it all as I have been accepted in the civilian fireservice. It's just a pity that the RAF pay is so poor.. :( Good luck to all

I must have given the right answers as I have been asked to go for a medical. After all this waiting it is all happening so quickly. I can't wait for the selection weekend to show them what I can do.. :D

My interview started with my forms being checked as it was over six months ago that I initially filled them out I had to do a new set. After the normal checking and photocopying of documents. I was taken through to the interview room. The interview followed a pattern; I will try to ...

I know what you mean, there are lots of us waiting for our chosen trades. I am waiting for firefighter to open for competition.
My opinion, for what it's worth! Is to wait, enlisting for the wrong trade and regretting your choice then being stuck would surely be worse than waiting.
