DA - I couldn't agree more with your last post. Those who join up just to be an officer tend to be the very worst type (our trade is full of them is it not?). I am not sure if it makes any difference for Officers during branch training (and it shouldn't) but Airman are entitled to FMQs during phase 2. I am not entirely sure if this depends on the lenght of your training or not though.

Then Rockapemk1, you have already learnt a very VALUABLE lesson that will stand you in good stead. I have had to baby sit a few very junior officers, some have been fantastic and asked and listened. Others have been arrogant, aloof and stupid - a warning to those in IOT or getting close to going ...

Splitter - you beat me to it. A gentle warning as well, there is nothing more infuriating than seeing baby Aircrew plastic Sgts acting like tossers in the mess. Some of us spent and awful long time getting there...that may be worth remembering. Please take this in the spirit it is intended ...

Sorry sticky - the guys bloke's comments seriously annoyed me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but when it is such an inflamatory statement based on a few weeks training and showing such a complete and utter lack of respect, I had to let fly !!!

My view is and will always be, if they pass the course under the same conditions and standards as men then they have a right to serve regardless of sex. As for saying women have no place anywhere they can be in contact with the enemy, rubbish, absolute rubbish. The days when just the infantry were ...

Just out of interest, the Military health care proffesionals that I work with tell me that the Americans have been giving their aircrew a form of Amphet for years. BUT, it is controlled and above all prescribed, not bought illegally and used to "get off ones's tits" - I believe there is a clear ...
