The Kestrel Softie 6 is a decent bag....I payed $60 for mine about 4 years back and it's still in one piece. A bivvi bag will make it last even longer in the field.

I remember reading of an account of 4 members of 22 SAS during the Falklands war......they defended a ridge (think it was on Mt Tumbledown)

Chest rigs are O.K but you'd be better of with a C.O.P vest. There a little more expensive but it's worth it in the field.
