Would it be possible for someone who has been on the course to write a brief list of the activities? Just to get an idea what's in store. Cheers.

Say someone just joined a Battalion. They are in their early 20s, joined after several years in the TA and did well at CIC and in Bn training. Would they be likely to be allowed to try for PF within their first year?

On my research trawl I've found varying lengths of time for recruit training; going from 10 months to 18 months. Am I safe to assume it's somewhere in the middle?

From what I understand there are two Commando dagger badges. Those who have passed the Commando course are entitled to wear the red dagger on black background badge. Those who have passed the Commando course and serve in 3 Commando Brigade wear a big green square with black dagger one.

Take a look ...

Is 4/73 Battery's role pretty much the same as 148 Battery?

Hi there. I'm just about to start the process to join as a Gunner in 29 Commando Regiment.

Appologies if this sounds like one of those 'wannabes' questions, but is there an oppurtunity to becoming an Observation Post Assisstant from training or would it take a few years in service first?

It's great hear there is a good relationship between 29 Cdo Regt and the Marines.

Is there more in-depth infantry/military skills training on the AACC or is it more or less physical tests?

Greetings from a potential RA Gunner

Hi there. I'm planning on becoming a Gunner with the Royal Artillery, and 29 Cdo Regt in particular. Are there any serving/joining RA guys on here?
