I never had much ruck with the quality of the uniform that was issued. A bit of maintance and it was as good as damit. And when I got a bit older and started work I managed to purchase a few bits and bobs. What p***ed me off was the stupid badges they made us wear. The cadet gliding wings looked ...

Re: OASC Aptitude

I have now sat the aptitude test twice. Once last month and the first 6 years ago. Apparently, the test results were (quote) "quite strong", and clear all the way upto pilot.

My question: If I go back for a second attempt at entry, will I sit the tests again ? (My first visit 6 years ago was for a ...

Spare Time

Icklecathy (or anyone)...

If you don't mind me asking, what did you give as your outside work/college/uni activities?
ie. what do you do in your spare time.

I was at OASC 2 weeks ago. Got slated in the interview for not being well-rounded, but they wouldn't let me discuss the circumstances.

Your time in the ATC will help you no end. You should now know what to expect, but dont fall ino the trap of knowing it all.

You could be put in charge of a flight, as you can help others with bulling shoes and ironing. You'd be surprised how many people can't even do the basic things. Don't be put ...

How do you guys/gals get on when you hear that your training has been put back 1/2+ months?

I mean, if you have to give your employer a month's notice, it would be pretty embarresing to go back and ask to stay an extra period!

Or would the RAF not delay your entrance date if you were within the ...

Going back to the original post by brooksy.......

If you are goin on PGAC, you'd best give it 100% effort because most of the technical trades are now closed for recruiting. They are likely to remain closed for some time. :o

What's all this about then. Has the RAF recruited too many for this FY ...

Cheers for that Biggles1211.

I spoke to the careers office on Friday. They are trying to arrange 2 visits for me at Linton as both my choices are based there, and near to me (Provost (P&SS North) and Flt Ops)

I did start the ball rolling myself, speaking to the Station Community Relations Officer ...
