That would be like demanding pilots stay in No 1 mess until they get their wings.

NCA stay in one of the OACTU blocks alongside IOT cadets until they graduate. Then, they're sergeants, so quite rightly stay in the sergeants' mess.

Hmm. You have to wear CABs unless you have a medical reason not to, and you'll do a little bit of drill in CS95 during the early phases of the course if I remember right. It's not really any worse than doing it in your blues though.

On FLC you can get away with any black "military style" boots; so ...

My objection is that I went to Cranwell aged 23 - with a wide and varied experience of life - I challenge far more than any graduate - and was paid much, much less than any graduate.

My view is that unless an entrant to IOT has a degree which gives him/her a specialist advance in their given ...

1 This is a very odd website, some of the info posted above is utter rubbish and I suspect some of these people are not really qualified to answer your questions. The Military Aircrew forum on pprune .org is a much better bet and is full of current RAF pilots and WSOps. Make sure you use the search ...

But for one letter! That's WSOs, rather than WSOps....

If you're entitled to it, surely a quick word/email/call to the Chief Clerk or unit PSF chaps would have been a better use of your energies than searching for revenge....?

There are no unis (that I could hope of getting into) within reaching distance of Chicksands and no others in reach of ...

There is, and it's based at RAF St Athan. You go along to your Freshers' Fayre and apply when you see them; simple.

Well, they're certainly not reglar military instructors, which I think is the point. They're also only employed to teach MELIN, hence why they're not JEFTS instructors. They're similar to FTRS and AVO reservists.

It's the same for everyone; it's only based on age, not branch or rank. So it's 9.10 for 17-24 year old males, and 8.10 for 25-30 (or whatever the next stage up is). It's a minute for the pressups and situps.

At IOT, you'll be expected to get 10.2 initially, and at least 10.6 before FLC if you're a ...

DJR - do you actually know that your med docs actually have the drugs thing on them. Ordinarily an incident at A&E does not get onto your GP med notes. Its worth taking a look first before you make any rash choices

Go to another AFCO and dont tell them about it.

With any recorded history of hayfever, you're ineligible to be aircrew. You need a certain number of years' clearance from things like hayfever and asthma to be a ground branch officer, but they can't risk reoccurrence in aircrew.
