Best Time of day, sunset after a warm day :o ( ok last light when its not been raining) sit out the back or on the front step and wait for the bats to come out , beats any form display flying or anything (nearly) that birds can do, I spend hours during the summer with a can or three just marvelling ...

You could try the Army, Navy surplus shops, but they tend to be a bit scruffy, Soldier Magazine runs adverts for T-shirt manufacurers, or if you are really desperate try and blag some off some of the blokes on here
