with ...

Re: Vietnam?????

This sums up SE Asian policy. When Colin Powell was sent in mid 60's, he was attached to a ARVN unit as an advisor. When he arrived at his posting
out in the boonies, a small base beside a small airstrip, he asked the OC of the unit alongside whom he was working why they were there. The Lt replied ...

Try a 4 mile run every other morning and stop every half mile for 50% of
your pressups [thats 8 stops]. At the end of the run reward yourself with max pressups :). Each subsequent run increase the number of pressups at each stop by one. This kind of run is best done on a country walk... The other ...

It's like some bizarre 'Man from UNCLE', 'New Avengers' or 'Fu Manchu' (showing my age here now :) ) TV plot where teenagers are mesmerised into reacting to key words and turn into suicidal automatons bent on killing their named target. Unfortunately theres no Max Smart to put paid to the bad guys ...

Several months ago, the optimist in me hoped that Iraq could become a model Islamic state in the Middle-East. The miracles of post-war Japan
and Germany echoed and the possibility of a modern free democratic
state the envy of its neighbours glimmered. But that image is quickly receding. That ...
