Im surprised none of them opend fire.I dont think id be able to stand there and watch my friends burn and not rip the cowards apart.

Overseas Application Time Frame

Ok,ive just received some 'pre-application' forms for overseas recruits.Im about to send them out and would like to know from others experience how long it will take for this to process and be asked to come forward and continue with the testing phase?

What the hell do you mean what if you fail? If you think like that your gonna fail! If your not ready,take a day,a week a month longer to be ready to pass.

They most likey say that because they dont want you to go.I love it when they tell me ill fail,pisses the hell out of me,but in the end it motivates me like nothing eles.Take it all in,dont say a word.When u pass,send them a red beret in the mail.Thats what im gonna do anyways.

Much of the para side of things is now mechanised whereas the Corps are still capable of man packing all kit or getting the kit where it is required to with the assistance of other integral units (Logs or air drops etc ...

Agreed.I have just finished that book,so its still clear in my mind.Are you also getting a very different image of basic Para recruit training? Michael Ashers books story starts off a few years befor Mike Curtis joins,but the brutality of the training seems two different worlds.
