As a TA soldier, you can usually skip phase 1 training, especially if you have an operational tour under your belt. That is, if you're going into a similar unit in the regs to the one that you were in with the TA.

Just keep asking. Ask at the careers office - if they say you have to do it all, ask ...

They call out a specialist unit which deals with the broken sight.
I've only ever heard of one breaking, but the lad that did it was made to put on his respirator and nbc gloves, take a pair of tweezers and put all the little pieces of glass into a jam jar.

I actually did an insight weekend once. It was with the 1 para lads who'd just come back from sierra leone having fought against the west side boys. They seemed pretty messed up by it. Showed us a lot of pictures of mutilated bodies etc. and really enjoyed beasting us for a couple of days. It was ...

a para helmet is lighter and more aero-dynamic than a regular helmet. it also looks a lot cooler, and usually has a net rather than straps over the top. If you want a picture, just go to http://www.parachute-regiment.com - i'm sure there's a pic of a few paras wearing helmets there.

Also, during ...

All sorted lads. Get online.

Same provider? It uses the same script for the forums but other than that it's entirely different.

Other than the content matter that is.

They've had a kick up the arse mate. The site is actually alive, BUT they've changed the settings for databases etc. I'm trying to get the old site back but it looks more and more like I may have to start all over again.

Is it worth it?

Reserve Forces UK Apology

I hope this is the right place to post this, but to avoid any confusion I thought I should explain why the site is down.

Apparently, my hosting company are changing all their servers and it's taken longer than expected, but the site should be up and running again tomorrow or at latest sunday ...

4 para will be equal in standard to the RMR. Especially a recce platoon. In my recruit cadre, we started with around 40 and ended up with just 5 at the end of phase 1. But the rewards are definately worth it.
