you can choose your prmc date. The training team will not treat you any different because of your age although you may be the butt of a few jokes.

im 26 and currently in week 19 of training, and loving it.
As long as you are fit and doing it for the right reasons, go for it i gave up a good job to do this and i havent regreted it one bit. It is hard but its worth it.

The swimmer canoeist is the SBS and you must complete the uk special forces traing before you can get in. It is also true you must serve 3 years first.

I am currently in week 19 of training and can say for sure:

The 3 miler is done in trainers (done in 22 mins)
The pull ups are over hand grasp (minimum of 6)

you do have to hand wash your kit for the first two weeks, after that you are allowed to use the washing machines if you want to.
Its just a case of knowing how to really and then they let you get on with it.

I was talking to friend of mine who is joining the RM reserves and i thought good on him.
After thinking about it for a while i thought he is going to be doing this one day a week and he will have the same green beret as i will hopefully get, im not sure what they get upto in the reserves or if they ...

i think the questions moved of the point, i wasnt asking if the marines training was as hard as the SAS training, as you say it speaks for itself.
I was really interested to know if the marines go through anything simular to the interogation training and escape and evation etc.

I read the reason the Marines used to get a hard time in special forces training was that most SAS members are former para's, i dont know if this is still the case.
I also read that you need to have 3 years active service before you can try for the SAS.
