hi mate good luck for next week, in answer to your question it is 10k for 3km. According to the info I was given from the AFCO last week anyway

I was on the 4th - 7th same as ashley. Wrapped on bottom field! Regretting it now as i've got to wait 6 months to do it again (3 to go now), definately makes you more determined, I know what I have to do this time so I won't be wrapping under any cirumstances!!!

Ahem, sorry to interupt, but getting back to the topic! :wink: i should be going to PRMC around the same time. I also took (and Failed) in May. I was hoping for an earlier date than the end of november but i suppose it allows more time for extra training :(

RockApe - thanks very much for the info. I had seen information on various internet sites about moving from the RAF reg. to the marines and the paras, just wanted a little more gen on how this worked. I took PRMC in May, but failed, i have to wait until November now before trying again. I was toying ...

so is it possible to transfer from the RAF reg. into the royal marines i.e. 40, 42 or 45 commando? or would you have to leave the Regiment and re-apply for RM?

Any Advice on this would be very helpful

i've been told to run 4 miles 3 times a week in under 28mins. At my careers office (Hull) we have to pass a 1 day fitness test before they give us our travel warrants, fail the test and you are withdrawn from PRMC.

i've been following the training schedule they give you for about 14 weeks now. I can do the max stated push ups etc, I'm just not sure what to expect when i get down there?!

Hi mate,
After your interview and medical you can choose when you want to go for the prmc. The letter they will send you gives you the option to postpone this again if your not ready or can't make it. Hope that answers your query?!
